I'm happy with 1-0 all things considered.

No surprise powerplays are 3-0 for Buffalo, the Sabres are clearly angels in their own building.

Chico looks really good, the one goal is totally the D's fault.

We've been starting slow all series, only being down one goal after our typically worst period is good.

Richards is looking great today.

They finally got a few shots on Miller - they have to keep that going.

This is retarded. Why don't we just start every game against Buffalo with Buffalo leading 1-0. Why this team can't open the scoring first (heaven forbid) is beyond me. And the fact that they are always playing from behind and nobody on the team seems to care is what's even more baffling. It's almost like they are ok with it. The attitude in Philadelphia really needs to change.

And the whole 10 shots to 1 is a joke. The Flyers are playing preventative hockey and the Sabres are playing attack hockey. This whole passive game that the Flyers are playing, waiting for their chance to score has to come to an end. There has to be some form of desperation on their part and other than Forsberg, no one else seems to be playing desperate out there. Where's Gagne been this series? Where's Knuble been? What about everyone else? Exactly. Only two players have been giving full effort - Forsberg and Esche.

I'm sick and tired of our other top players not playing full out. That's fine though. I'm sure that someone from the Flyers staff will protect Gagne and Knuble from any sort of criticism and will blame something else on why they've been poor. It's time to call a spade a spade and it's time that both Gagne and Knuble be called out.

I've said it before .. the Flyers Defense needs to stop backing up so much on the forwards .. stand them up. I swear the flyers d was in the crease before it stopped backing up on that goal.

If they skate around the D and score that's one thing but to not even try to take the man with the puck is ridiculous.

Beginning of intermission:

NBC guys saying basically:
-Sabres are too fast
-Esche is playing well
-Max had a good chance at the end
-Miller struggled in Philly. Its his 1st playoff appearance. Let in bad goal to RJ
-Numinen might be the difference?

Is it just me or is Afinogenov just a lot of flash and no substance? He's always doing something but never really does anything.

I like the way the flyers are pushing the puck up ice on the PK. It gives time for the other 3 players to switch and takes time off the clock. Specifically when Kapanen took it up the boards and they had to use 4 men to take the puck of him. It seems like Buffalo doesnt know how to handle an agreesive PK. Gagne, Richards, Kapenen and Zeus are all doing the job. As a side note, ive seen way way way to many forechecking efforts by Derian Hatcher, please stop sir.

I'm aware. Gladly though, I didn't waste any time watching the Sabres during the regular season. Now is the time that counts, my point still stands.

The problem here is, especially with their faster forwards like connoly and max, that the philly D might be forced to grab with the sabres speed, leading to more and more penalties, leading to more complaints on this board

No offense. Its just an observation

yea he just moves around A LOT. But he had 70 points so lets not jinx us and get him a hatrick....to balance that out lets say the Sabres are great and they score all the time and Miller is inpenitrable

WIP says we'redominating the FO's. That's good. 15 of 20 in period 1. That only helps.

the good thing is that we have slowed this game down and the fans are out of it. we cant get into a foot race. Connoley got a great shot off and took advantage of al ot of our players making mistakes...time to get one and keep it Slooooooooow.
