I will miss game 6 on tuesday due to work, and if we lose game 5 but win game 6 I will forcefully will myself to abstain from watching game 7. Montreal is thus far 2-0 in games I am yet to watch, and 0-2 in the ones I saw. This leads me with 2 options. I will watch tomorrow's game 5 on something other than FSN South. That station is garbage anyways. The most biased announcing ever imo. Don Cherry is more objective when discussing Bobby orr than Trip Tracy is about the canes. ****.

I will miss Tuesday's game due to work as well. Where do you work now?
I missed the first 4 games due to a 7 day evening stretch at work starting on the same day as game 1. I'm off this weekend so I'm looking forward to watching tomorrow night's game. For the first 4 games I managed to keep track of the score at times. After getting off of work I watched the highlights on CBC, TSN, The Score, and Sportsnet when I arrived home after work, and accessed the net on sites such as this, RDS, and cyberpresse for in depth analysis.
Despite not watching the games live, the anxiety level was just as high not knowing the score. When you are a habs fan and they are in the arena it doesn't matter whether you're watching the game live or not , your spirit is with them. I am a Habs fan since 1965, I have seen the great ones, and have had the joy of celebrating perfection many times. My fondest memory was watching the late 70's draw between the Habs and Russians, best hockey game I've ever seen. Habs were the better team, that darned Tretiak(sp?).
As a diehard Habs fan who has suffered anxiety and panic attacks as well as EUPHORIA with every single post-season Habs game ever, all I can say is....
NEVER, EVER LOOK AWAY.....
If we win it is sooooo good. If we lose, then we prepare for next game or next year. Either way the euphoria, panic, and anxiety subsides and we have shared in a great tradition.......
I'll be there that's for sure... Last time they went to a game 7, I was at the cage near the Bell with my friends.. followed by the frenzy in downtown. Mindless screaming, drinking, blocking off ste catherine. Good times.
edit: and for making an Arrested Development, you're now my favourite user.
this is about going to la cage and watching the game together. not about your jobs, COME ON! </gob bluth>
Well, habs fans are much, much more than you are speaking about. I saw games at the forum in 78, not bad, TV is fine also, better by far visually. And don't give me stuff about how the fans determine the game, I saw the highlights of the last one. Anyway, if I lived in Montreal I'd go see the games live.... I guess.
