After a good win, do the boys have it in them to come home and stick it to the Nordiques?

Broadway Brian! More Moore! Lottsa Lundmark! And Chris Simon!

Post 'em if you got 'em!

After coming off of a good win and having to play the next day, I would normally be a little worried but the fact that Leetch is coming back should help keep the momentum up. Hopefully Sather gives Lundmark and Moore some good ice time.

Interesting tidbit from Newsday.com:

"Dominic Moore's second NHL game, tonight against the Avalanche, will be bittersweet. His parents, Jack and Anna, will be on hand, but so will brother Steve, a forward for Colorado. The two brothers, teammates at Harvard, never have played an organized game against one another."

Will Leetch get big minutes, or will he be eased back in?

Can't wait to see who sits for Leetch. After logging most the most ice time of all defensemen, adding 2 assists and being named 3rd star of the game, it won't be Bouchard. It BETTER not be Bouchard! It BETTER not be Moore either should Sather choose to dress 7 d-men.

4-4 tie...and we'll be happy with that.

Can't see COL's offense not doing well, especially with Sakic breaking out last night.

Carter, Poti, Lundmark, Kovalev

Hejduk, Sakic, Selanne, Morris

ps Is blackburn going to be in goal? or dunham?

I just read Forsberg isn't playing tonight...maybe we can pull this one out...

I'd love to see Malakhov watch the action from the skybox, but with the way JD says that pair is "really settling in", I doubt that happens. I'd rather the Rangers sit Bouchard then Moore if it comes down to that.

Markanen, my bad, slip up. But still, do they start Dunham back to back nights?

I would not, but I can understand Sathers thinking if he does. So I think Dunham's going to be the starter tonight.

They shouldn't thats just not smart imo. Start Jussi he is a solid a backup as they come. Im going with a 3-2 Ranger win in OT.Lundmark scores again, Kovalev plays a big game, and Leetch notches the OT winner with 2 minutes or so left in the game.

Pretty sure Forsberg is not playing today with his groin injury!

I'm still not really clear on why they never tried a Leetch-Kasparaitis pairing..would Kasper's play be affected that much by playing the other side?

Kasparaitis is fine defensively, he had a real slow start last season but was arguably one of the best defensively the second half. Also, the LAST thing on his "to do" list is score goals.

The reason I don't think we're seeing any huge hits from him so far is because of the crappy officiating that calls anything remotely physical and also because he's keeping just concentrating on keeping within the "system". I think once we get more into the season we'll see him start to get more comfortable and use the body more. Plus I feel that he's one of those guys that gives it his best everynight. I'd rather have those kinda guys in the lineup rather then out.

the thing is you have to pair kaspar with a stay at home just like you would pair a stay at home with an offensive dman. why? because someone has to cover for the other when they are out of position. just like a leetch or poti needs someone to cover them when they skate down the ice, kaspar needs someone to cover him when he goes for the big hit. kaspar and cross were awesome together. we have no one to pair kaspar with now... devries is the closest.. perhaps they go back to leetch poti, and go kaspar devries.

"Selanne returned after missing one game because of a swollen knee. Forsberg sat out due to a groin injury and is not expected to play in this game."

There was some question as to that before, so, there it is. The quotation is pulled from the link.

Rangers can pull this one out tonight.

I like the Rucinsky Holik Carter line, they should stay together. I think one of the main reasons the Rangers have been playing good as of late, is Holik. He's been mean as hell, and he was the reason they just scored...
