well, value wise i don't think we need to add the second rounder.
but in terms of the teams, this trade won't happen because washington already has a no.1 goalie making 6 million. also, gonchar makes less than theodore and washington is looking to reduce their salary, not add to it.
also, from montreal's end, i would be leary of trading theodore until garon has at least another season to prove himself. this will be his first season as a full time backup - he hasn't proven much at the NHL level yet. we also have a pretty good foundation at defence. i'd love to have gonchar, but if we trade a valuable asset like theodore i'd want a scoring forward with size coming back.
