I knew it...

As I was watching game 3 head into overtime... I thought to myself: the Habs need to score here. If we score now it will be 3-0 and no team is comming back froma 3-0 defeciet even if they are playing against us. Yet, I also had a grim feeling that if Carolina was to score it was over, not just the game - but the series. Call me unoptimistic, but I think we are toast, and my gut feeling confirms it.

If only we had won that overtime in game 3, urgh, we would be as good as through at this point.

Well the Canes have won 3 in a row now. So maybe if we had won that game, then the series would have gone 7 games and the Canes would have won. Or maybe the Habs would have won in 4 had they won that game. Or maybe the Habs would have..........

Or maybe it's game 6 now. It's not over.

Go Habs Go.

No he's right. I feel we played too conservatively when we had that 1-0 lead. We ended up giving it up and losingit in overtime. And the canes have outplayed us ever since.

Not only have they outplayed us,but Habs have never been the same since K's injury...they lost their confidence imo. The players aren't stupid...they know how much of a drop off their team makes w out their #1 center. Losing K has essentially lost us our whole #1 line..they've been near invisible since.

I think Bob needs to makes some risky decisions with the line-up. Well, itís kind of late now, but he should have used Kostitsyn already. Look at the Avs, they gave opportunity to Svatos and Wolski and these guys did not disappoint.
Also, Bob should have used new line combinations. Havenít he learned from Julien experience that Begin does not click very well with the scoring wingers?

He put Begin there because Bonk was sucking. It looked better with Begin.

But yes, it may be time to re-jig the lines, although it's a risky moment to re-jig the line. Although I noticed Zeddy with Ribs and Kovalev on the power play. Maybe this is a sign of things to come.
