Habs In 7

That's right boys! Quit all this negativity. How many times have we won 2 games in a row during the season? Many. Who is to say we can't have another 2 game winning streak! We gotta put this game behind us and try and throw everything we've got left at Carolina on Tuesday. Plus we got our 6th man behind our team...the Fans at the Bell Center. Huet stood on his head tonight and I'm sure he's telling his teamates that he can only take them so far and that at a certain point they gotta start contributing also.

We have faced adversity all year it seems and this will be just another test for our troops. We gotta refuel and prove to everyone out there that said Carolina would win this series easily that they are wrong. We've come back numerous times in the past...Remember 2002? We can do it again...This series is for Koivu remember that...

GO HABS GO!!! MAKE US PROUD!

It's also very unfortunate that we have so many pessimists on this board.

I still think we can win the series.

I knew right away, though, when RDS interviewed the players after the Game 2 win that we were in trouble... Komi and Ribeiro for example were smiling way too much and talking about how exciting it's going to be with all the fans back at the Bell Centre, etc etc.

Mental Note: Talk about how excited you are once the series has been won. In the mean time, focus on winning the next game.

We have alot of young players... this is a good learning experience:
it's not over 'till you've got the damn cup over your head!

We proved that 2 years ago when we came back from a 3-1 series deficit.

BUT...

Like I said, it's not over! We can still beat them, in fact 3-2 deficits are overcome frequently. We are definetly good enough to do it, it's just a matter of coming back to MTL with a Do-or-Die attitude.

I can't wait 'till game 6 because we'll all get to see how big the hearts of our players really are.

I agree.

Canes have 5 even strengh goals in 5 games + 2OTs... Stay out of the box boys and this serie can definitely be a 7-games win.

Habs in 7! I still believe... just a big win at the phone booth first and then a performance befitting the Cardiac Kids label in game 7!

Go Habs Go!

It seems to me the officials are "managing" this series. So under this premise Montreal should
win game six. Then, hopefully, the Refs will let the players decide game seven. If the Habs can
get a quick goal and some traffic in front of Ward and skate like they did in the first two games
we can take this series!
Go Habs!

I hate to admit it but I do sometimes have this thought behind the back of my mind that somehow the higher levels in the NHL (referees, series managers, gouvernors even Bettman) want to promote the game in the less popular cities, such as those in the southern states (San Jose, Anaheim, Carolina, etc). Although they may not explicitly say it to their subordinate, but somehow the message can still propagate through (You know how sometimes at work your boss can subtlely let you know what he/she wants before saying it to your face). So perhaps the message is that they want those 'less' popular teams to go deep into the postseason to generate more viewership, since we, as truely hardcore hockey fans, would still pay attention to the post season even if our favorite team heads to the green (knock on wood).

0 for 5 on the PP yesterday. What else can the refs do? Start the game with 2-0 lead for the habs?

You can't win if you can't score.

Wouldn't count on it. For us to win in 7, The Ribeiro line will have to play to their full potential and our PP will have to stop being attrocious.

Glad to see you don't want your canes late for tee-off, but they'll have to wait until friday.

We can win the last 2 games if we get our PP going and stay out of the box.

Let's Go Habs!

It's funny how those with different opinions, which may or may not be more realistic, are deemed pessimistic.

Realism is the key here.
We can't come back and win 2 straight in the actual situation, get real boys.

When you say "can't" you mean "it is possible but highly unlikely", right?
