I sit corrected!

It's a definite advantage for the Knights for the games broadcast on Sportsnet - but it means a few more games listening to Cunningham.

I don't think the Petes have lost in OT yet. Awesome.

Great job boys!

That would be correct. They're something like 7-0 I think.

Impressive run, watch out 1993 Montreal Canadians.

Fairly entertaining game tonight, some soft goals, but some big saves aswell.

Good game = goaltending was really weak at times - incredible at other times on both ends. Petes used their size on the offensive to their advantage a number of times. Staal and Naslund were almost unstoppable - they just did what they wanted to most times and the Knights just bounced off them . Please get Matt Pelech on a weight training program this summer!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never seen a team come out right in front from behind the net totally untouched as the Petes did last night. They could have scored many more times on those plays if not for AD.
Knights used their speed very effectively on the Petes defense - which while very big is not exceptionally quick. Petes passed the puck extremely well at all times while going on the offensive while the Knights seemed to have just the one player
carry the puck on solo rushes while the others stood around and watched. More passes guys - get into the spaces between the Petes d/men and use your quickness to your advantage. When they did it worked .... If the play keeps up like this Petes will win hands down - don't think it will though as the Knights coaches will adapt and come up with a better game plan.

Definitely a great game to watch, I think the whole series will be pretty tight. I agree, I think London will come out more prepared in the next game, now that they have a feel for the Petes game (of course the Petes probably will too ). And it is possible for them to stop the big guns - my favourite was Bolland trying to play D against Staal and actually taking his body and hitting him into the boards and knocking his helmet off - they just have to get the real D to do that as well!!

I'm surprised they aren't showing a game in London on the national broadcast. Things went quite well when they did it last year.

Any comments on Ryder's play? He has the stats in the playoffs that suggest he is playing very well.

Finally....a game I can watch!

But who to cheer for....I dislike Peterborough and London equally!

I'm going to have to go for the Petes....so we can say we lost to the OHL Champions!

Adam Dennis isn't playing. He is out with the famous "lower body injury".

Hopefully a tape of Downie's spear to the "lower body" area on Martinelli goes to the league. Right in front of the refs, no call. Not like he could fake it as he never saw it coming.

How could none of the four officials on the ice at the time not see that spear by Downie? And what cowardly act by him but he isn't man enough to face anyone
and has to cheap shot like that ....

Please, he hardly touched him. That's what he does. He agitates. He certainly agitates the posters on HF and beyond.

For someone who should be wearing a jock, Martinelli sure played it up too.

What has happened to Foreman and Beaulieu??? All of sudden in the playoffs they are playing like it is Ice Capades or a no checking league. Are they injured perhaps?
Knights need them both to stop the snow throwing and poke checks and start playing more physical - only guy showing any physical play is Belan - who threw a couple of big hits tonight again ....

His only two "big hits" were head shots that resulted in penalties.

At least he had the courage to hit with the body not the chicken way and try to castrate someone ....

Downie has the courage, but he was also just crosschecked from behind in front of the net. He gave Martinelli a little shot to retaliate. It's part of his game. He's an agitator and loves to get under people's skin. Like I said, it clearly worked again.

You really need to take off your I hate the Knights hat and at least try to be consistent.

You were remarkably quick to brand Bolland for his incident and now this. Contact with a skate, as light as it was netted him 4 games. While the spear by Downie was not a hard shot (pretty much par with the contact made by Bolland on Laser Angelidis) it was a deliberate act and a spear none the less. It was after the period ended as well.

A cup does an adequate job protecting from the front but is actually a liability on hits from behind where the boys are trapped. His hit did not appear hard enough to injure but definitely hard enough to hurt. If you doubt this perhaps you would agree to a demonstration? We can see how well you play it down.

In any case Downie has been a regular visitor to suspensions this year (at least 3). Like being an "agitator" is somehow an excuse? He has a history and that was pretty bush behaviour regardless of the severity. I am not banking on it, but I would not be surprised if this silly act of his gets him in some hot water. It was pretty stupid on his part, and he does have that history. Dumb!

PS: This game was a national telecast. If you don't think Branch is conscious of that you are kidding yourself. You think he wants everybody to think that kind of behaviour is okay in the O? Especially by problem child Downie. It may come to nothing but 2 games would not surprise me at all.

A spear to the groin is "part of his game". What game is that? Give your head a shake man.

I won't accuse Downie of lacking courage. But he is ridiculously undisciplned and not too bright considering how close he came to being turfed out of Jr this yr. STUPID!

PS: Downie was not cross checked in front of the net. Downie was not involved in that play, he was in the corner.
