Tootoo already played in game 7 against Iowa and with the Sharks knocking off the Preds - Scottie Upshall, Shea Weber, and Rinne have been sent to the Ads. So Milwaukee's ECHL/UHL roster will again resemble the roster they had during the middle of the season.

The aeros have added Benoit Pouliot to there already stacked roster. I say aeros in 5 or 6.

I don't think Pouliot is the difference maker (on an already very good roster), but I'd agree to the Aeros in 7 maybe 6. Then again I felt the Stars would've done away with the Ads in round 1. I am also hoping the Nashville send-downs play like they did leading up to their call-ups after the Olympic Break and didn't leave their game on the Pred's healthy scratch list.

As I mentioned in another thread, you almost feel for the Houston players. They waltzed into the second round and were up against a team that eeked by. This was going to be their year. Then, all of the sudden, Weber, Upshall, Tootoo, and Rinne show up for a full series, and it's lights out. Tootoo is the 6th leading goal scorer in the AHL playoffs despite only playing four games (which is less than half of what the people around him have played). He's one goal from first place. Upshall has 6 points (2+4) in his 3 games so far, and Weber 3 goals and 4 points in 3 games. I don't think any of those guys ever wants to be a healthy scratch again

This team has the chance to be dominant because Weber, Upshall, and Tootoo are all pretty angry about getting the shaft in terms of playing time against SJ despite being three of the Preds better players. I think they each have something to prove.

It could have been worse for Houston. Suter could be playing in Milwaukee right now if he hadn't been called to duty by his country. And if Radulov's team had lost that game 7, he too would be in Milwaukee.

Tootoo-Upshall-Radulov

Weber-Suter

Rinne

Was Suter eligible? I didn't think he was placed on the AHL roster for the playoffs.

No, Suter was not on the Admiral's clear day roster.

But I think Suter was not put on the clear day roster because of the Team USA engagement. It was late March when the clear days were announced, right? I wouldn't be surprised if team USA had put in their plug for Suter, and the Admirals knew that if the Predators' season ended abruptly, that Suter would be headed overseas and would not go to Milwaukee. Thus, there would be no point to waste a clear day roster spot on him.

Dan Hamhuis might have been in the same boat, although I don't know what the state of his AHL eligibility is.

Hamhuis has played 2 seasons in the NHL, He'd have to clear waivers.

He might be. I think you need to be in or beyond the third season of your first pro contract and/or 180 (number may vary) AHL and/or NHL games played. As you can see, I am a bit foggy on the details.

As to Suter, I agree Smokey, good chance Team USA was looking at him and was not put on the Clear Day Roster for that reason.

Game 4 tonight in Houston could be a tough spot for the Ads being the second of what could be a three-game road stretch. This could be one that's placed on Pekka to win.

There, I have successfully blown both my predictions for each of the Admirals playoff series. Although, as a credit to me, I was spot-on in round one right down to the Finley injury, only thing is - the Ads won Game 7.
