Anyone know a thing about hockey cards?

I was wondering if anyone knew how much Upper Deck's Saku Koivu rookie card from the World Juniors (set: 1993, card #: 569) was worth?

I doubt it's worth too much at all, but it's my favourite card.

I have that card, the case on it still has the sticker which says $3.99. Check a Beckett magazine at your closest convenience store if you want to be exact but I doubt it's over $5.00.... a nice one though!

oh, I knew it wouldn't be worth anything, but I like it and was curious. Is $2 the exact value, or just an estimate?

Which one exactly is his rookie?

yeah i have both of those, an many other interesting cards. i have a stack of samsanov and thorton rookie cards among others. but like mentioned, there were too many cards produced 90s and early 2000s. now after the strike, the only card company in operation is upper deck and they had a couple of sets this season, series 1 and series 2. my buddy bought 5 UD1 boxes b4 he got his crosby, but only needed one UD2 box to find an ovechkin. now he has both, in big plastic bricks. they are worth over 350$ each already

i remember the good old days when i would spend all my cash on cards and candy *sigh*

you dont need a pick....well could help...but you should go with a certificate of authenticity. There's some compagnie who charge like 20$ and takes 24h to verified everything about the signature too tell if its a true one or not.

Stick Mikita sign W/O the COA = approx. 50-75$

Stick Mikita sign WITH the COA = Approx. 100-150$

I have a Eric Lindros card - he's wearing his Sault- Saint-Marie jersey - not even rookie, junior...

It has a gold frame - I bought it about 13 - 14 years ago for 7 $.

Anyone has any idea how much it's worth now??

It depends more on what kind of stick. If it's a game used model then it would be worth a lot more than a souvenir model of a little plastic one footer. The autograph for Mikita is really pretty common and a COA wouldn't increase the value much. His is an autograph that is easy to see that it is his.

its a game used stick. my wifes grandfather got it from mikita in 70's. it was an exhibition game NHL Stars - CSSR in 1972 in prague. mikita wore "C" in that game.

That would be a neat stick...probably in the $100-$150 range
