I'm thinking if this game reaches a stage where the Habs are clearly done, look for Souray to punk a Hurricane like he did to Sarich last season.

Two times in 2002

NBA:

NHL:

The last time the NHL had an anthem-booing showdown, at least the fiestiness was fueled by the hatred of the postseason. New York fans booed the Canadian anthem before Games 3 and 4 of last year's epic first-round series with Toronto.
There was also a flag burning incident in that Toronto-Long Island series

Quote:
According to Bruce Arthur in the May 2nd National Post, a paper I don't much like but that sometimes has interesting tidbits, the opera student who had sung both national anthems in Toronto for an earlier game got a surprise when he arrived in New York for the sixth one:

"Days after being cheered as he sang the Canadian and American anthems before an NHL playoff game in Toronto, Robert Pomakov watched, horrified, as unruly New York hockey fans burned his Canadian flag in the parking lot of Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

It's probably too late already but the series is lacking in the hate department. Does anyone get the impression that the Habs hate the Canes right now? Is there even a mild dislike for them?

So, you graduate from med school. You have to pick a specific field, who wants proctology ? I remeber reading an article about the causes of flatulence, where they quoted 'leading flatologists'. Again, why ?

If the score gets out of hand and we don't settle any scores (Williams for the stick work, Brindamour for interference, and Recchi for scoring goals after the whistle), I'll be booing to my hearts content and I don't want none of that "those who boo our players aren't fans" garbage when I come back.

Since you're obviously not a Habs fan, you would be unfamiliar with the Souray/Sarich fight. I still get goose bumps when I think of it. What would it accomplish? Shows pride, desire and a hatred for losing. Will it change the result of the game? Not sure- ask Justin Williams what the results of hurting another player are.

I think that had more to do with the politics at the time and the fact the Bruins are such a heated rival. Still despicable.

I've hated the canes since the 2002 series; however, before the series began I was completely indifferent towards the team. That series led to me despising them ever since, I was happy they missed the playoffs the year after and was looking forward to them having another dismal season.

Now they really let me down with their 112 pt season, so I was looking forward to this series, as it would be so rewarding to see them lose. GAHHHHHHH! I despise this franchise.......everything was going pretty smoothly until Justin Williams took fencing lessons and Ward decided to step it up for the playoffs. Despite all of this though we are 2 victories away from kicking them to the curb...doesn't look too good right now, but I'd like nothing more than to see the Hurricanes lose.

GO HABS GO!!!
