Good Season Boys! You did us Proud!!!

Hats off to the habs for an exciting season...the boys played their hearts out and in the end the breaks didn`t go our way. One of the most exciting teams in the last 10 years though and it can only get better from here. I can`t wait till next season!!! GO HABS GO!!!!

I really have to admit I've never seen a more exciting Habs team in a LONG time!

At least they were close enough to have had the opportunity to blow the round. A number of fans posted that Carolina was the team they didn't want to face because of the one-sided seasons series. I didn't agree. Maybe the outcome will be different next spring.

We did our best and all things considered, I'd say the edge in play would tilt in our favour. We proved that we can compete evenly with a team that was supposedly more ''dynamic and threatening'', which is a bollocks label.

Considering where we were in late January, with Theodore struggling, and being bombed every night, I am extremely proud of this team.

We showed tremendous growth in the final month and a half of the season. Our young players emerged, and played pivotal leadership roles on our team (Higgins, Plekanec and Komisarek). We had outstanding play from our unsung heros (Bouillon immediately jumps to find), and we have tremendous surprises, most notably Cristobal Huet. Despite this loss, there are several positive steps going forward, and I am extremely proud of how this team managed to salvage this season, after going through an extremely difficult time.

Altough we lost the series after being up 2-0 we must consider the intagebles (sp?) that were involved:
-hot goaltending;
-bad bounces;
-Unlucky penalty calls;
-etc;

Then theres what we have to look forward to:
-An excellent crop of young players;
-Suerb goaltending from a great duo;
-A rock solid D-corp;
-Second to none quality coaching staff;

Anyonw who cannot see nothing but accomplishments and promise from this years edition of the habs is not a true fan; sure I'm dissapointed, but we iced the best team we've had in ten years, there's no denying that and we have no room but to get better.

You mean in 8th place? Under Theo you forget we were still winning. We went up 1 place in the standings after Theo was replaced, and thats because Tampa had a near catastrophic choke.
