Not exactly a Comrie or Gaborik but I'll take it.

Pronger will be good for the Moose

Once again, Brian Burke tries to build "Team Lesser Brother". Now we have Sean Pronger, Fedor Fedorov and Jarkko Ruutu. Too bad we dumped Steve Kariya last season.

Pronger is as advertisated. He's a fourth line center on a bad team, depth for a much better one. He's good enough on the PK and can throw them alright.

Maybe they'll talk Brett Lindros out of retirement.

This trade has almost nothing to do with the Nucks, Pronger won't stick, this is a minor league thing to boost the experience on a young Moose.

Good luck to Zenith though he deserves his shot, he's been a solid and loyal prospect-player for the Nucks system for a while. Doesn't complain, played as a forward when asked etc..

I agree. It's also a decent depth move for the playoff though. If the nucks get hit really hard by injuries, I'd much rather have Pronger on the 4th line than Zenith. Zeke has a lot of heart but sadly the talent just isn't there. I can't really see him ever becoming more than a career minor-leaguer.

I see this deal as merely trying to add toughness if needed. Since we lost Langdon, now we have another tough guy if needed, although I don't think he'll play here. IMO, seems all this trade is for.

We also have both Sedin twins... i figure one of them must be the lesser brother...

Nah, more likely he'll get Sylvain Turgeon. Isn't he Pierre's brother?

I like this move, but it doesn't really affect the Canucks unless we have a rash of injuries. Strictly a depth move.

But you can't tell 'em apart so they both have to be on the big club.

Have they made the call to Brent Gretzky yet?
