Colorado-Anaheim

Great 1st period for Theo, his leg movement is back, some rebounds as usual, but is quicker than I ever saw him for a long time now.

1-0 Anaheim on a blast while Theo had no chance.

One heck of a bodycheck by Beauchemin on Brunette...

Beauchemin...

But Theo is so left alone so far, AVS will be better in the 3rd while the Ducks should be fatigued from their long series....

His leg movement his back, but those rebounds.....

Not on the shot, but they just don't generate any offense whatsoever and with Brunette gone....

He did make some great saves in the 1st though.

Pahlsson is a gem , he's been on my screen in 03-04 but now with the new rules and can use his speed to shutdown players and get the lose pucks without being hooked .

18-Nov-00: Mighty Ducks of Anaheim traded Patrick Traverse and Andrei Nazarov to the Boston Bruins for Sami Pahlsson.

Beauchemin is just something else.....Well like you said since we're not the only ones who let him go, it kind of divided the pain....

I'm sure that Theo broke up with his girlfriend. And now he's trying too hard to get another love one, I'm afraid he's on the rebound....

Don’t be so obsessed with Beauchemin level of play. He is very good dman, but he also has learned a lot from Niedermayer. He would not have been so dominating in Montreal or in Columbus without Scott.
But his aggressiveness and ability to make open ice hits like before the first goal are still amazing and Scotty did not teach him that for sure.

BTW, Theo looks horrible once again. I guess he simply ran out of luck in the second period. Horrendous rebound control during the first two periods.

Theres no way Theo could have stopped those last 2 goals from going in, Colorado is just brutal in this game. I feel for the guy.

By the way, Selanne is playing like one of the top players in the league once again. I am just blown away by how young he looks out there, what a great player.

Honestly is anyone surprised? Lets be honest though, Avalanche look terrible all the way around. Ducks showed up, and the Avs are rusty. Look for Budai in the third. Jose is going to be pulled.

Doug, you're not nice.... He's playing better than he was with us, it's not hard you'll say and you would be right on, but he will never be the guy he used to be in the old NHL, anyway I may be wrong, but that's what I think.

But something in his favor, and I know it's only one game, but who would take in your team today, Emery or Theo??? Gerber or Theo??? Legacé? Turco? Esche? Aubin? Grahame? Khabibulin and his contract? Cloutier? Auld?

There's so much crappiness nowadays that even him could be better than most of these goalies. Doesn't justify this 4.5 going 5.5. and 6 but at 3 of 3.5, he would be a good investment I think......
