Holy cow. 21-8 shots late in the second??? Theo can't be blamed if Colorado can't get the puck out of their own end!

His rebound control was poor on one of them, the others were not actually his fault. The second goal was deflected with three people in front of him, impossible to stop.

The first two were deflected and the third, the guy came in all alone on an angle to the net and Theodore got down fast and made a very good save on the first shot, but he was unlucky and the rebound popped right back on his stick. None of those goals are his fault.

Theo has been really good, obviously they still don't know that you've got to go high on him 'cause the majority of the shots are down low, and he's got hig leg movement back, the 5-hole doesn't seem to be a problem today, he stopped a breakaway and had a glove save!!!!

What more can you ask of him....

They are just totally dominated and that series shouldn't be too long....though we said that in the 1st round for a certain team....

But that's where the ones that made the Theo VS Roy stupid comparisons stop. Even though, none of those goals are his fault, Roy might have made those stops....The ''not his fault'' goals are made by great goalies, maybe not by good ones......

He'll be good, he is better than he was with us, not too difficult though, but will he be capable of doing it all by himself, he's great today, but it's still 3-0.....

Well, with the offense that Colarado has, and as much as I respect my favorite NHL player (Sakic), I don't think that they are a force to be reckon with anymore. And the Ducks shutout the Flames on a game 7th so.....

And I'm very eager to see how Theo respond on home ice.....

What I don't understand is how poorly the west teams did their homerworks. Shoot high when the guy is already on his pad and you have a goal...

The Avalanche look like the Habs when we got shutout by Ottawa and got only like 13 shots . Theodore is the last to blame .

bottom line if huet is in net today for the avs it still 1-0 ducks

how many time were the shots 21- 8 for ther other team vs the habs this year when huet played nets? and we'd still end up with the win or tie thats the diffrence

how many time we get out shot 40 to 20 and still win ? due to our goalie ?

a super star goalie . ya the ones who make 5 and 6 milliion . there supposed to be able to weather the storm for there clubs and keep them in it thats why they get paid 5 -6 million a season

maybe the first 2 were good goals but its the 3rd one " rebound" onto the ducks players stick and wound up in the net .. thats the killer...

I do agree with you and that's my point. Bryzgalov, even though he was less tested looks like Huet, relatively calm, good positional skills, Theo works a lot in front of his net, and all the stops he make, seems more difficult than he really should be. But I understand all the excitement that Brunet, Demers and all have for Jose.....They're just weren't used to that.....

Wonder if people will understand one day that going high is the weak point of 90% of the goaltender in the league and then drop it cause it's getting annoying.

Also, why is it so hard to say "yeah he is doing well even though his team is leaving him completely alone". Seriously we get it, you guys don't like him, you think he suck, blablabla. Get over it already.

**** you guys whine when we talked about him because "everythings always about him" and you are the first to bring him up with "HAH he still sucks".

If you read carefully, nobody said that he sucked. He is doing good but we have the right to be frustrated a little 'cause he's the one responsible for us having problems making the playoffs and as human beings, everybody, well maybe not you, but most of the people will always love more when a trade or a draft pick goes in our favour instead of the other way.

Though it will be only for this year I think, we can have our fun this year, and then we'll let it go.....

Go see the Bruins thread, they have a sticky regarding Thornton.......That's what happen regarding ''potential'' star players. How many threads did the Rangers boards had regarding Kovalev, how they wished he sucked and all....

At the end of the day, "it wasn't his fault" is not an answer. The super-stars that get paid his salary should be able to make alot of those saves he isn't "expected" to make.

This doesn't only go towards Theo, but every goalie that gets paid what he does.

Well when your team scores no goals and you have 3 against, you're doing a pretty good job.

Theo may not be the best goalie out there, but they're still playing. And he's partly to do with that for sure.

I think alot of posters are bias towards him now because hes gone in his late few months he wasnt too popular around here. Its not totally his fault his teammates have yet to score a goal in this series... so i dont think its just his fault.

Goaltending wasn't our problem vs Carolina, scoring was. We would have been eliminated with Theo as well.

But, yes the cockiness of some is getting old...

As long as we are speaking of ex-Habs, I thought Brisebois is playing far worse than Theo in front of him. The last 2 Ducks goal, Brisebois looked real bad...

The West conference is wild open now. Any team could end up in the finals

It the same old thing.

THeo is getting 5.5mil. at that price he should stand on his head a steel 2 games.
He is playing no better then Huet so Gainey won that trade by dumping that contract.
Abby and Huet ( if thier is no goalie war will be a good tandum.
Both contracts wont total 5.5mil
That extra money will buy the Habs a good player and since it's up to Gainey to chose a player he needs a hole will be pluged.

Gainey has all kinds of options for the offseason and a war chest and kids comming with at the very least 2 roster spots and as much as 5 roster spots. ( Bulis,Sundstrom,Streit,Simpson) with Ribs, Murray, Boullion, Bonk fighting for roster spots and Zednik as trade bait.

It's a big oppertunity to improve with players Carbo wants.

San Jose is going to the finals. It will be SJ vs Anaheim for the Western finals and it will go 7 games, imo. The East is a toss up. All Eastern teams are strong (top 4 seeds).
