pissed off

I'm sick and tired of you fans getting shafted! I want all the original six teams to be dominant and make the playoffs all the time it disgusts me that nashville makes it but the blackhawks don't.

Umm... Thanks? Nashville has competent management and a loyal fanbase, so I don't get why you deemed it necessary to attack that thriving market...

F the original six teams

Who cares if the original 6 don't make the playoffs

For the last 30- some odd years fans of the original 6 have had god like complex's when it comes to their team vs any team that joined the league after 68.

The hawks and bruins are paying the price for thinking they can use abuse their fans and they will stick around.

Most nhl teams try to put the best team on the ice.
In the new NHL--hawks ownership is still more concerned with the bottom line then winning

Yet they can't sell out a playoff game.

Yet. Given time, a southern market may be more profitable then certain northern ones.

Look at the numbers, not the case now, even with the dollar at .91 cents...still won't be the case.

Southern markets as well as the Chicago market have nothing on Canadian markets.

Very archaic thinking on your part. It's one thing to be proud that hockey is the ruling sport of your nation. It's another to be egomaniacal about it and think hockey should be resigned to northern north america. Other than continuing expansion to a ridiculous amount of teams which would dilute the talent pool in the league, what's wrong with having a few markets in the south like florida? It's not a given that all of these teams will thrive and grow in their respective markets, but it's a good idea to have teams in these general areas. It helps grow the game as a whole, whether you care about that or not. It gives kids that love and follow the game in these areas more access to the sport and greater chance of better programs to spawn out of these areas. The more general fan support in the whole of the country (speaking strictly of the US) the greater the demand for better coverage of the sport. If you cared about hockey, outside of your favorite team or at least your country, then you might at least see the potential good in this.

I personally do not buy the expansion waters down teams ideas.

There are so many talented players in this league and all over the world that can produce good NHL numbers when given good NHL play time.

It is very common to see a guy considered to be a 3rd or 4th liner given 2nd line minutes for whatever reason and produce like a decent 2nd liner. There are a ton of talented players and prospects in this league who are never given the chance to show what they can do in the right situation simply because of the extreme competitiveness of the sport.

So, the fact that they're money isn't as valuable would mean they're a poor _________. They were drawing ten thousand fans a game. The market simply isn't large enough to support an NHL franchise. I seriously doubt Atlanta or Columbus were thought of as hockey hotbeds before expansion, but they have some of the most knowledgeable, passionate fans in the world. Please leave us alone. You're not wanted here.

LOL with the way the playoffs are going right now, 3 of the final 4 teams will be Anaheim, San Jose and Carolina, all very recent expansion teams in very warm climates.

Most likely another expansion team will win the cup again this year, 2 years in a row!
