Martin Erat

This is a question for Pred fans. What kind of seasons can we expect from this kid over the next 1 to 2 seasons? I saw him play at the Olympics and he looked unreal. Thoughts?

The only thing keeping Martin Erat from being a star is Martin Erat.

Needs to be more aware of his teammates, needs to shoot more. He has a deadly laser of a shot, and the skills to pay the bills to boot...but his flaw is that he holds on to the puck too long. He can weave and dangle, he's strong on the puck...but he can create an amazing play, only to take himself right out of it by skating around too long.

I agree that Marty is just a couple steps away from putting all together. But, I think the coaches should play a role in helping him do that as well. His circle skating is something the coaches could easily help improve.

NOW on WC in Riga he plays huge role in CZE team. He is in the First line with CBS Vyborny and "Automatic" Balastik and he plays realy great. No doubt abou it that Marty is our best player in this WC. 3 games and he has 2 goals and 3 assists.
