LALA: Hall of Fame 2003

Had the privelege of meeting him when he spoke at my high school's athletics banquet. One of the most appreciative, classiest, down to earth individuals you'll ever meet. The prototype sports hero...on and off the ice.

Congrats Patty!!

Nice little thing they did about him in the ceremony (Good thing I remembered to tape this...), but I don't like the fact that they're mostly remembering him as an Isle, he spent almost as much time there as here, and was more important to the Sabres than New York... oh well, congrats to Patty!

Can you imagine if we would have still had LaFontaine during the Cup run in 99? Woulda been nice.

If they still had LaFontaine, they wouldn't have acquired Juneau (who was a great two center...then, anyways) or maybe even Barnes. I dunno what would've happened then....

We sure as hell would have acquired Barnes. Just on the principle of dumping that cancer Barnaby and acquiring someone that was with Ruff during another Cup run.

Juneau? Maybe not. I'll take Patty over Juneau 8 days a week.
