OT: Russian Basketball

Does anyone follow Russian hoops?

Euroleague started this week and Russia has 2 teams in the competition - last year's Euroleague runner-up CSKA Moscow and last year's Eurocup winner BC Khimki.

CSKA beat Lietuvos Rytas 75-73 Thursday in Moscow, while Khimki fell 92-80 to Fenerbahce Ulker in Istanbul.

Also former CSKA player Alexey Shved will be in NBA with Minnesota Timberwolves where he will be teammates with Andrey Kirilenko.

CSKA should have won Euroleague last year. They had a big lead in the final.

They won't be as good this season without Kirilenko and Shved.

I can't wait to see how Shved does in NBA. He has the ability, just needs to make smart decisions.

Great to see both Kirilenko and Shved doing well in Minnesota.

AK is having an All-Star season and has great chemistry with Shved.

It was a great decision for Shved to choose that team. He needs to improve consitancy with his 3pt shot, but I think he will.

Fotios Katsikaris takes over Team Russia Basketball team.

Too bad Blatt left, he was very good. Hopefully Katsikaris can have sucess.
