Look at the ducks management. They gave a chance to Dustin Penner (who was apparently too slow, soft for the NHL)...look at the results.
I look at Dustin Penner and I see what any Hab fan wishes Pierre Dagenais could have turned into. Dagenais had the same "problems"... too slow, too soft, didn't use his size, didn't like getting hit...
Now look at Penner. He has improved his skating and strength, he can fight through hits, even throws the body a little bit every so often. If only Pierre could have done that.
Perhaps you should take a look at Buffalo, they seem to be doing fine with the likes of Briere, Connely, Dumont, Pomainville, Roy, Drury, Affinoganov. I would not qualify any of these guys as big. The have Drury, Briere, Connelly down the center and the biggest of these guy is Connely.
I am not say garbo is the solution but size is not necessarily the answer here. Speed, skill and grit would be more appropriate to quote.
He is one piece of the puzzle as Gui may be and a FA Dman. Someday would love to seeGrabs between Gui and Murray.
