If that was in place, imagine if Pittsburgh and Wilkes Barre faced off against each other. Im sure PIT would call up everybody under contract .
That's assuming WBS would ever win the Cup
About the articles:
A few questionable statements, but I wonder if it is more the writing than the lack of understanding on the author's part. Very informative stuff, actually.
"I still think over the coming years we're going to see a little bit more rationalization in all leagues — Triple-A, Double-A, Single-A — a little bit more rationalization in terms of market size, arena size and geography in terms of determining exactly what is the best league to be in."
I like this parageraph, a good rationalization for minor leagues as a whole.

I'm glad that someone posted that given that WB/S has yet to win a Calder Cup.
Just out of curiosity, what exactly is the point of these articles? Are they trying to convince the Everblades ownership to move up to the AHL?
The one quote that stood out in my mind was "The Blades are the Yankees of the ECHL.". Just take away the fact that the Blades have only been around for 8 years and have never won a title I guess they are the same thing.
