Bears have to start strong ......... Pirates are going to throw everything including the kitchen sink at Cassivi in the first period; Bears need to withstand that, stay out of the box, and decrease the number of shots on goal.

And here I was thinking the Bears would have to start slow...take several pentalies, and let the Pirates takes as many shots as possible.

Subtle, strung - real subtle.

Anyway, thanks to a marvelous decision (and some serious begging and pleading), I will be in Portland tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll be on my way home Wednesday.

Wow, this is early

also, Vogel's G4 write-up with locker room and press conf quotes

Dango, have fun! I debated making the trip, but no go with the darn middle of the week games. It will be listening on the radio for me. I hope Walton is calling the weeknight games like he did last week. If I have time, I will post some pics from the last 2 games - I think I got a pic of Green in the Pirates bench.

What does everybody think about the line-up for tomorrow night - Does Fehr return or do they stick with Johansson? I think Johansson may have earned his spot in the line-up for another game with his inspired play last night (of course, it helped that he had more legs than the guys who played in the 2OT game, but that was the best all-around game I have seen him play).

If Johansson is in the line-up, doesn't that mean someone (Fehr maybe) was placed on some sort of injured list? I don't recall Johansson being on the clear day roster.

JoJo certainly played well enough the other night.

Manipulating the "Clear Day roster" is easier than boiling water.

Apparently you've not seen my brother's attempt - he managed to burn the stove while boiling water .....

There was a time if you weren't on clear day that you could only suit up if a player were placed on an injured list ..... granted you only had to place that player on the list for two games --- not sure if that still applies.

i.e., you see Fehr back in place of Johansson

Strung - OT, did you see that Nashville signed Fiddler; my fantasy team will rock next year

Correct, Johansson was not on the clear day roster. But looking at the roster it seems pretty simple to me, two players, Johansson and Tenute, not on the clear day (not including Schultz since he came from juniors) were in the line-up and two players, Fortin and Wotton, on the clear day roster are hurt. Of course, it could be more than two that are hurt, but it is pretty obvious Fortin and Wotton are out with injuries.

Oh and as noted by others, there are ways to get around the clear day roster, but I don't think that was even necessary in this case.

I wonder what Anahiem's plans are for Shane O'Brien?

I like him. He's been a ******* all series to deal with yet he's still putting up mad points as he goes along. He's one of those players you hate while on the other team...but would love to have on your own.

As long as he ditches the ridiculous mohawk he's sporting...so far he's had a helluva series against the Bears and from what I heard, in the OT win Saturday night he got into it with the fans

I came very close to hopping on a Southwest flight this afternoon, but will be watching on B2 for the first time instead; Can you mute the B2 sound and listen to Walton (I hope) with only 1 computer? advice welcome - thanks

Sure, just turn the volume down on the B2 window and then go to Pennlive for the audio feed. I had to do the same thing last game.

The Pennlive feed might a be few seconds ahead of the B2 feed...just pause it for a few seconds then unpause to see if you can sync them up. Or you can just wait for Walton go nuts and then watch for the goals on the B2 feed.
