injuries raise demand for Comrie?

looks like Savard and Zetterberg are out long term -both teams could really use a centre.....

hmmm....

is Hudler + Kronvall enough from Detroit?

Nope, Hudler is puny and we need proven talent. Guy's a good player, just not right for here.

only if the oilers are offering sending horcoff and a fat cheerleader.

seriously, if the oilers wanted hudler they would have drafted him. they had plenty of opportunity but chose to draft size instead. somehow i doubt that they've changed strategies already.

that might be overpaying... especially if the oilers had to pony up for her salary (8 bags of twinkies and 24 ding dongs per day).

Who in the blue hell would sign her to a ridiculous contract like that?
(Other than Sather)

Betcha Comrie could be had cheaper.

Wait a minute: Isn't Delta the GM in Vancouver these days?

Detroit would never part with Kronwall, Fischer or Datsyuk. Especially with their aging roster.

K.Lo would probably want Grigorenko but is he going to fully recover from his car accident?

I would mind seeing Dandenault or Holmstrom come our way.

my money is on the Thrashers...

Comrie/Chimera/Allen for Santala/Hurme/Sutton

then trade Salo to Washington for Sutherby

because Kolzig is going to be moved soon.

Two months for Savard ankle injury.
Zetterburg broken leg 4-6 weeks Lowe is in the driver seat now we should get a good deal from someone.

Now, I hate Detroit passionately so I would hate to see any Detroit player in an Edmonton uniform. That being said:

Their prospects are pretty much all untouchable due to the age of their roster. Fischer would be the only one that we would have a chance at but not while Hatcher is out. Holmstrom could be had fairly easily but do we really need him?

Re: the Atlanta rumours. Hurme and Conklin tandem doesn't exactly blow my skirt up. Not while JDD is a few years away. And I'd be surprised to see Salo go to Washington. If Kolzig is almost gone, Ouellet is nearly ready for the starting job.

My 2 1/2 cents.

Kyle.

Myself, I still see, especially with the Savard injury, Stefan + Coburn for Comrie and a pick or a grinder. Makes too much sense to me.

I tend to agree. My only problem is that it appears that Stefan is forever destined to be a third line defensive centerman - something we already have in Reasoner. I was previously optimistic about him but I'm starting to wonder after reading many of the Thrasher's fans' comments about him.. however, he is still only 23 years old and is still young enough to improve dramatically. Someone on these boards mentioned Bonk in Ottawa as a comparable example.. he was drafted third overall and struggled with his overall offensive game till recently. If we could nab Stefan and Coburn, I'd say go for it..

Stefan wouldn't be a bad pick at all. He might in fact go nicely on a line with Smyth and Hemsky you need some sort of defence on that line especially when you have Brewer on the blue line as he starts playing like an offensive winger at times.
