How many goals will MTL get in 2006/2007 Season

We scored 243 goal's in 2005/2006. And let in 247 goals

what do you think MTL's totals will be next season??

We should be a better team next season so i believe we should improve those #'s.

Say 272 goals for and 223 goals against?

Isn't it wayyyyy too premature to take this kind of guess before we even know who will be on the team next year, and who will be in nets?

Jose Theodore = 3.46 GAA in 38 games.

The goals against are going way down next year. Assuming it's Huet and Danis, take one goal a game off of Theodore's 38 games and it works out to about 200 goals against. How many more wins would that have been worth?

Add in better players and a better overall system and we should be close to the league leaders in this category.

282 for, 226 against

I think the emergence of Higgins, Perezhogin, Kostitsyn and maybe Latendresse along with some new additions through free agency will equal a significantly stronger team, I think Ryder and Kovalev will also have better seasons. Having a goaltender with a gaa under 3.00 will be beneficial no doubt.

Ok a stab in the dark

243 for last year, moves to between 255-265
because, the dump of a few, less injuries to key players, maybe a new center or good winger.

247 againts last year, moves to between 225-235
because, Theo is gone, Komi is better, Gainey is looking for a D-man.

All this if no Habs rookie or new UFA has a break out year. Prez will replace Bulis stats, Kost will get at least 10 but if has a good start he could go as high as 25. Pleks has better wingers and should get his 12-17 goals, the forth line will contribute a bit more, Bonk with less ice time, insert 2 new faces to rotate in and out ( they will do better then Bonk's 3 goals)

So my estimate is very conservative.

82 GF
0 GA

Every game will be a 1-0 overtime thriller with the Habs coming out on top. Koivu will get 82 goals and 82 assists because he can.
