76ers Question!

Why did we trade our 43rd pick to Cleveland? This is one of the deepest draft in recent years. With 43rd pick we could gotten a decent bench player. I am sick of 76ers trading their 1st round and 2nd round picks. No wonder we sucks. I wish Ed Snider fire Bill King.

This year is supposed to be a weak class.

whenever i look at the 76ers' organization, i feel very grateful that the flyers are what they are.

In the 2nd round of the NBA draft, there might be one serviceable player picked every season.

They will never get a good bench player and they will never win a championship as long Billy King is manager and while AI is still playing in a Sixers uniform

Last 10 picks at #43:

2005: NJ Mile Ilic
2004: NYK Trevor Ariza, UCLA
2003: MIL Keith Bogans, Kentucky
2002: CHI Lonny Baxter, Maryland
2001: DAL Kyle Hill, Eastern Illinois
2000: MIL Michael Redd, Ohio State
1999: CHH Lee Nailon, Texas Christian
1998: WAS Jahidi White, Georgetown
1997: MIN Gordon Malone, West Virginia
1996: PHO Ben Davis, Arizona

The only player averaging better than 10ppg picked after #43 in those 10 years:
Manu Ginobli 1999 (pick 57)

And trust me, the 76ers would never get Redd or Ginobli out of their scouting dept that deep in the draft. They would pick:

2000: Mark Karcher (48)
1999: Todd MacCulloch (49)
1996: Jamie Feick (48)

Sorry, but the Sixers are doomed for several more years.

Who do you think 76ers will pick with the 1st round draft pick? Who do you want them to pick?

Anyone but JJ Reddick

King says he wants athletic 6'8" guys, so take your pick of about 5 forwards. Probably Cedric Simmons of NC State. He is projected to be a Theo Ratliff type player. Good D, athletic, probably no outside shot to speak of.

IMO, JJ Redick is a bench player in the NBA. He just doesn't have the athleticism or the size to start at the two for a decent team, and he most certainly cannot play the point.

What not to do as an NBA general manager:

Rule #1: Never draft a white guy from Duke
