We will. It should be around 47-52

Well, I'm on Spongey's side! Put up your dukes punx!

Honestly, I could even see us taking Vishnevski with our pick.

I believe under the compensatory rules for unsigned 1st round picks, they should be rewarded the 18th pick in the 2nd round, which would be the 48th overall pick.

The Kings were rewarded the 60th pick in the 2005 draft as compensation for not signing Dave Steckel, who was a 1st round, 30th overall selection in the 2001 draft.

Like I said weeks ago, we'll be getting the 48th pick.

If he were still available I would pick Semen Varlamov with that pick.

Semen wouldn't be my first choice, but the idea isn't a bad one.

I agree completely. I was just playing off his name being Semen.

But I'd rather have Enroth or Helenius. Not that either of them would fall to us in the second round, though.

Definitely.

He's a tough customer...when Semen comes on the ice, things get sticky.

And he's got a helluva shot...no one wants to dive in front of shooting Semen.

You need to do more research on Semen. There's not much of a shot with Semen. He's just slick around the crease. Because of all the protection, nobody will splatter Semen on the boards. You'll know Semen when you see the widest stick. When it comes to stopping the puck, there is no other. The glove just swallows. You hear me? When I think of swallow, I think of Semen!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it's pronounced Seh-MYON (and Semin (as in Alexander) is pronounced SYO-mean).

You say to-may-to, I say to-myah-to.

I just like looking at Semen. Does it matter how you pronounce it?

Given what we've heard to date from Lombardi, who do you realistically think LA will pick at #11?

Ty Wishart if he's there. Not that it's who I'd choose.

Wishart has a 99.9% chance of still being on the board at the #11 pick......actually he has a 95% chance of still being on the board at the 20th pick.....so if Ty is indeed who Lombardi wants then he should definitely trade down.....But I still say that Sanguinetti is the 2nd best defenseman in this years draft....regardless what Kings Pawn says.

Don't be so sure. You NEVER know what other teams are thinking or how they project and assess talent. There are many examples of teams who have made the "unconventional" off-the-board pick that throws everyone off. I wouldn't be surprised to see a team take Wishart early if they like what they have seen in him.

My guess for a huge riser is Vishnevski.

Well I said 99.9%.......I have yet to see any scouting service or "expert" even put Wishart in the top 11.......if there is a surprise pick in the first 11 picks I highly doubt he will be it.
