Why is it that whatever the Flyers do in the postseason, the Sabres always copy it?

Why is it that whatever the Flyers do in the postseason, the Sabres always copy it the following year? Flyers reach the Finals in 97 - Sabres reach Finals in 99 (that's close to being 1 year between).

Flyers reach ECF in 2000 and play the Devils after overcoming a 2-0 deficit to the Penguins - Sabres almost overcome a 2-0 deficit to the Peguins in the semifinals in 2001; and if they won that series they would of played the Devils in the ECF.

Flyers reach the ECF again in 2004 after winning first two series' with only 3 losses (Flyers beat Devils in 5; were up 2-0 in the semi-finals, lost 2 to the Leafs and the series got tied, the Flyers win last 2), play a southeast division winning team (Lightning) then go down 3-2, win in OT in Game 6 on home ice to force a Game 7 - Sabres reach the ECF in 2006 after winning first two series' with only 3 losses (were up 2-0 in the quarter-finals, lost 2 to the Flyers and the series got tied, the Sabres win last 2; they beat Sens in 5), play a southeast division winning team (Hurricanes) then go down 3-2, win in OT in Game 6 on home ice to force a Game 7.

Those copy-cats!

Oh and I may add that the Sabres reached the Conference Finals with a series-winning OT goal against the Sens (a Canadian team) just like the Flyers did against the Leafs (another Canadian team) in 2004.

Ahhh I can go on and on about the similarities!

As long as they lose next game all is well that ends well.
