I saw a couple shifts in the WC and liked what I saw in that brief time.. he played physical (delivered a crunching open ice hit), and seemed to have good puck control along the boards..and decent skill...and all this form 2-3 shifts..I comented on why has he not been drafted before... wish I coulda seen more to further evaluate him.. but from his SEL stats and what i saw...i think he will be a decent player.

Nobody's ever questioned his skill. It's the other parts of the game that are lacking. He started the 2001-02 season as a potential first round pick for the 2002 Draft, struggled, especially in the first half, and was expected to be picked in the second round or later. Nobody drafted him.

He's coming into a good situation in Edmonton. They have a lot of good, young talent coming up. He's the type who if he ever puts the pieces of his game together, could be a pretty good offensive player.

Patrick Thorenson signs with the Oil...wasn't he...

a pretty high pick and well regarded, if i remenber correctly(no research today) he was a florida pick

another one of those picks we have all had that did not turn out, no wonder many teams trade their first rd pick for a player they know will play rather then an opportunity to pick a player that may never play

He was in THN draft preview as a top 60 prospect but was never taken in the draft. He spent some time playing for the Moncton Wildcats but returned to Europe.
