You know, I'm an Oiler fan and I love this board, but it's becoming very clear we are now becoming a rip center like other fan boards.

Too bad, this used to be a nice place to drop in.

Horcoff is having a terrible time battling the puck, but I think Smyth is doing pretty well. He seems to have good chemistry with Salmelainen. As for Hemsky, it sounds like he's reviewing his conversation with MacTavish everytime he touches the puck.

Fun game, though.

Nice dive, Sarno!

Somewhere out there, Forsberg is smiling.

Great play by Raffi to get that breakaway, but enough with the Todd Marchant impersonations on those breakaways guys

I think that hideous thing covering Prusek's melon is messing our guys up on their breakaways.

That wasn't just any dive...even the Russian judge gave it a 6.0...

Meanwhile, Torres fails to convert on a breakaway after a great burst of speed.

My god.

I was gonna comment also. It looks like a crown with a big bird dump on top of it.......instead of a rink with a Senator emblem.

I loved that goal by Moreau! I hope Reasoner pots one, that line is tremendous.

In case you're interested, it's 3 - 2 Blues in the Canucks game.

I saw Salo's two first goals. f'ing terrible.

The first one was a lovely team effort (or non-effort) between Salo and Brewer, and I think Salo thought he had the second one... meh, it happens, and he has more than made up for both of them.

Overtime...

Moreau - Reasoner - Pisani - Dvorak...

Go with 4 forwards, non-conference game, go for the win.

Give the Oilers credit, they've managed to garner at least one point in a very tough building. That's a victory in itself considering how bad the first line has been tonight. Hemsky and Horcoff maybe saw one shift the whole 3rd period, and it was a crap shift at that.

Time to roll the dice 4 on 4 style.

On paper, or ice-time wise?

Smyth - Horcoff - Hemsky was the first line, but I think they replaced Horcoff with Sarno near the end.

Boy...

The Oilers have really been taking it to some pretty good teams in OT this year (Detroit and now Ottawa).

Nice play by Cross to hold up Hossa there.

Alright thanks. Maybe the Center is what is messing up the line so bad.

btw, have you guys noticed that in most Oiler games this season, goals have been scored in bunches? Sometimes its like 4 goals in a span of ten minutes...does it say something about our team?

Good Solid point against a good team.

Tommy kept them in for a bit, and allowed them to make a run, but Prusek made some pretty big saves as well.

Wimpy....I know you're rewarding good play, but I don't think ya can send out Moreau and Reasoner at the end there, gotta put the big guns out there, especially because they're more likely to be fresh at that point.

Weird hockey game. Alot of good things and alot of bad things. I don't think either team played particularly well. We definately have a more interesting forward picture with Sarno and Salmelainen in there.

Good game.. I understand why MacT is going with Moreau/Reasoner out there for the PP but I think you have to put Smyth and Dvorak out there. I was praying Dvorak would be out there in the last minute.. his shot and puck moving abilities really would have helped. You should always score on a 4on3!

Definitely a tie that feel more like a win to me.

I just hope Isbister's OK. That was a sick hit he took.

Hemsky's really struggling out there right now, he's forcing passes that aren't there and that +/- is starting to look ugly. Hopefully he'll snap out of it, or better yet - he and Smyth can get a real 1st line center soon. Even Stefan would look better between them right now.

Hossa should be the first star for sure, he made some rushes which almost resulted in goals. I think Prusek or Salo should get some mention for the stars.

Good game by Edmonton, some sloppy uncharacteristic turnovers by Ottawa cost them the two points and almost the game.
