OT: The History of the Donair

I figured with all the references to Donair's on here, that I'd post a link to their history:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donair

and of course,

a link to Canada's best spot for them:

The things we occupy our time with when we're hung over...

Right on. That brings back memories of Scotland. Going home at 3 in the morning and stopping at the kebab shop. They're a little different over there, and I've never really been able to describe it to people here. Between the kebab shops and the chippys, I can't seriously drink anymore without getting hungry. Conditioned response to being drunk.

BBB, I gotta admit, I had no idea that Donairs had such a history, let alone that they're made quite differently around the Western world. Me thinks they would taste quite good with pork though!

kebabs are great. i'd describe them as a donair with even more magical goodness. not to be confused with kabobs.

I dribbled donair sauce all over the buchberger game worn during the first period. I couldn't really care less.
