No from the point of Colorado...

Kolanos is great but with the huge goalie market out there, Burke's price needs to be brought down.

No from Yotes perspective, Tanguay is a falling star, and has been for the last 2 years, and might turn into the next Gilbert Dionne pretty soon, and Ballard is nothing too special either. Avs have already dealt their best prospects, like Johansson, Nederost, and Vrbata, they don't have the ammo to bring in a top notch Goalie any more.

It is a buyers market when it comes to goalies right now, so the Aves don't have to give that much up for Burke.

BTW

I think Burke isabout 10th on the list of Goalies that the Aves want

*Assuming letowskie's a Yotes fan*

God there goes any credibility we Yotes followers may have gained lately.

At this point Burke would equate Ballard and the fifth. That would leave Tanguay for Kolanos and a 2nd. I love Krys, but with the way Tanguay is playing theres no way the Avs make this deal.

Tanguay is looking more like Marcel Dionne than Gilbert.

To be honest look for the Yotes to keep Burke and ride him into the sun set and Boosh get traded to the Oilers for 2 3rd round picks..

We cant keep three goalies and we cant keep Boosh.. Look for a buy out or a dump trade..

LOL or maybe Boosh for Tanguay rumours will start up

Considering he could have been had for free in the waiver draft and has done nothing since, you won't be getting anything in return for him, let alone two pretty good picks.

I am going to say no from either side. Burke to Colorado has been beaten to death, and the consensus seems to be that the Coyotes will not give him up for how much the Avs want to pay. Burke's play has slipped thusfar in the early season, and Tanguay has been on a tear. However, the Coyotes would likely not want to risk giving up their star goalie and future #1 center and have Tanguay come here and finally fizzle out (even though he has looked great this season). I think that both teams would decline this offer, sadly.

Let's not get too exited about just 12 games that tangauy played this season, it would be pretty easy to rack up those assists when you are playing with art ross and richard winners. In the last two years, you have to admit that he has largely dissappointed, and has not lived up to many people hailing to be the next great Avs star, even though he has had such quality linemates.

guys, lets give letowskie a break. i mean, we all remember that water hydrant we had playing for us last year. he got in about 45 games or so with Forsberg and Hejduk on his line, and he did pretty good too. in fact, he would've been guaranteed the Water Hydrant of the Year award if it hadn't been for the stellar play of Florida's water hydrant. word is the Avs were so pleased, they plan on drafting a few more up-and-coming water hydrants in the 2004 draft.

whoa...

ok, i'm back. looks like i stepped into some sort of different universe for a second there. everything was so pretty and rose-colored...
