I personally think Woywitka is a bust. until proven otherwise.

I have seen these articles before with other teams. Some of these guys were huge long shots to make it to the NHL someday anway. Yeah Seids turned himself into a pretty decent player being drafted in the 6th round, but it might be kind of unfair to call these guys busts when they are drafted so late and are such a long shot to make it in the NHL. esp guys like Malek who refuse to come over unless they get a 1 way deal.

other then that its a good article and a good read.

they only call them busts because they didn't establish themselves in the NHL.

I don't think Woywitka has a ceiling higher than being a #5-6 d-man on bad teams. Like a Jamie Heward type, if he wants to play in the NHL, he won't be on any good teams

Picking Razin has always puzzled me. What was Clarkey and friends thinking...? They could have drafted for example Jussi Jokinen with that pick.

About Brückler: he is contracted to the Blues Espoo for next season but it's still possible for some NHL team to try to sign him. I don't think anyone would sign him though. He'll be fighting for starter's position with former Devils-prospect Ari Ahonen.

I remember Holmgren saying that they wanted to sign him but instead they signed Dopita so that killed that possibility.

I realize that. My only point is that calling them a bust might be a bit harsh especially when they were huge longshots to make it. I realize they had to list them as something in the draft analysis.
Totally agree on Woywitka.

Flyers are getting into a nasty habit of trading away prospects
