Ribs and Zednik on the way out ????

There is an article in the fourth period which suggests, ribs and zednik are going to be part of a trade to bolster offence.

Sorry I don't know how to get the link and attach to thread

I don't understand why you have question marks in your thread title.

In case you haven't read that site for as long, I've never seen anything mentionned on The Fourth Period ever happening in the last four years.

I just don't want to get bashed for insinuating that I think there is a trade in the works, just want to make sure everyone know I got this from a source.

They are expendable players so it's easy to include them in rumors. Of course, logic dictates that if we could trade them for better players we'd be fools not to. The real question is ; can these 2 guys bring anything worthwhile in a trade?

I would tend to say no and guess it would end up a lateral move. Unfortunately , that's not really bolstering up much.

I wonder what Habs could get in return for them?

In the "old" NHL I'd agree but with the cap we've seen players getting moved for returns that would have been laughable back then simply to crate some wiggle room under the cap limit. Both Ribs and Zed make smaller amounts and could give a team decent secondary scoring.

Bob Perno , Mike Ribeiro's agent is surprised he hasn't heard from Bob Gainey yet. Perno says the habs should show more inetrest in his client since saku eye injury etc....

ya right !!! ribs he stepped right up and took over didnt he
what a joke . someone should send perno a tape of his" clients" play in saku's absence

ribs comment of " i dont need guy(carbo) to be my daddy" might be some of the reason .

maybe guy doesnt want another son?
