Are the horseshoes tarnishing?

Maybe Smyths finding and removing of the coin buried in center ice of the copy cat canes has taken some of the shine off the horseshoe crammed up the butts of all the canes players. According to TSN Weight and one of the Ward triplets left the game last night and didn't return. If so its about time the other shoe began to drop. Carolina has had way too much luck, not to mention the refs, on their side these entire playoffs.

Both Weight and Aaron Ward left the game but came back in the third.

But you can clearly see that a few players on that team (Weight, Ward, Wesley, Hedican) are playinger hurt. The team is really starting to be worn down, if Edmonton keeps coming at them relentlessly i think they could essentially grind their ***** out....

If your name starts with W, ur in bad shape.

Oilers winning the attrition war? Will we see the true value of Cam Ward finally?( lower than the current hype)

Ward came back and played later in the game but Weight never did. He came and sat on the bench but never played another shift. I think you're right though Edmontons constant pounding is starting to have an effect.

Carolina had been having all the good breaks since the 1st round in the playoff, but they had never had a short series as Edmonton did against Anaheim. So if this final series becomes a 7-games battle, Edmonton may have a slight edge over Carolina since they had a full week to rest. It ain't over til it's over! Go Oilers!

I agree with go Oilers but it's not completely accurate that the Canes had no short series. They won in 6 against us, 5 vs. the Devils and took 7 to knock off the AHL defence laden Sabres.

There is much ado about nothing it seems...They will eliminate Edmonton rather anticlimactically next game...it's just how things work With the Canes...they just get it done.
