we could resign our key guys and add a 3 million dollar center and a 2 million dollar d-man and still be in the rev. sharing range.
My math has us, with generous resignings of a all RFAs [don't know how likely this is], at around $29.5-30 million with 20 roster players signed. We need to add, in my opinion, two top 3 centers, one physical, top 4 defenseman, and a backup goalie. With roughly $5.5-6 million to play with, that can be done, especially if you consider that a likely acquisition will be through the trade market and could easily net us a player with a better contract while shedding some salary in return. If we are smart, we can solve this problem and still be at around $35 million in payroll. That would leave us some room to acquire at the deadline if the right deal comes along.
