Did you guys see Weight nail Henrik Sedin in the face? He only got 4 games for it. Why the hell doesn't the NHL be more severe with its punishments? It keeps looking for ways to reduce injuries and this is an obvious area where they can do it.
I can kind of see a players arguement for someone who just reacts to a play when everyone is going full speed. But this wasn't the case here. Weight and Sedin were away from the puck, Sedin was just holding him up, no slash or anything, and Weight crosschecked him in the face for no reason. And it wasn't a little jab either, it seemed like Weight turned his body around to get in front of Sedin so he could get lots of leverage to hammer him in the face.
I think he should have got 10 games, minimum. It was a vicious play and he deserves to sit for a long time.
