I heard from an inside source that Laakso had some problems getting there. Apparently someone had booked his flights and hotels under a wrong name (Timo Laakso, or something like that) and it caused a lot of problems.

EDIT: If anyone gets any pics of Laakso during the camp, I'd be very interested in them.

I find it especially interesting that the new draftees aren't there, because initially the Preds website said they WOULD be, so it seems they were expected. I know Dekanich, as an NCAA player, would have to pay his own way, so that might be why.

I'm excited to see Josh Tordjman. He was one of the best goalies in the Q this year and I was impressed with him in the inter-games I watched in the memorial cup. I don't know much about Kelsey Wilson, but he's got decent size and put up some nice numbers as well.

Kelsey Wilson is a tough SOB thats for sure. probably one of the top 5 toughest in the OHL last year. plus he has decent hands. I think he's the kind of guy that could eventually work his way into the NHL as an enforcer. though it could take 3 or 4 years in the minors.

Well I saw thorjman a couple of time last season ( 05-06 ) and alot more in 04-05 because back then he was playing in the same division as the remparts.

You have to say that he is the goalie that can make that game changing save.

Tho u have to question his ability to deal with pressure.

He completed choked in the game #7 in the 1st round of 04-05 playoffs vs quebec and I think he didn't play great in the last two game of the memorial cup.

oh well

From this article it sounds like Weber may be there too.

Need to run out again right now, but for those of you interested...
Cody Franson, John Vigilante, and I believe both goalies (one goalie was out there, but he wasn't 6'1" and didn't have a name or number on the back of his jersey) were missing from the on-ice session this afternoon.

Also, there were several signs around the rink stating that Saturday's on-ice session at 2 PM has been cancelled.

Will post more a little later this evening.

Good to see Drazins in the camp. He had tough year with injuries, but now hes fine. Darzins was great at World Championships, scored two goals. You just cant not like this kid, hes smart on and off the ice, not afaraid of phisical play and very slick hands. Steal for Predators as 9th round pick.

So much for that. Tordjman signed with Phoenix, today.

I think he would have been a good young backup for Rinne.
