CORSON to Mtl? (Rumor-Source)

Got this from Habsboard on Fanhome.com:

Norm Rumack, a Toronto radio guy who is friends with Corson and Tucker, passed on tonight that he's heard Shayne is on the verge of signing with Montreal. He said it'll be announced tomorrow.

No, I'm not joking. So if it doesn't happen, blame him.

Great! As long as he plays in Hamilton! Keep him near his brother.

Gainey is familiar with Corson playing with him the last few years he played. Corson is the kinda player Gainey likes. His grit, toughness and character. Corson wouldnt be a bad idea, only if he was still capable of playing despite his health issues.

the rumour is probaly bs. Corson before he had the health issues would be nice, but not now.

Shayne Corson will not be a Bad pick until he win less than 500K $ and he play on the 3rd or 4th lines!

Don't we already have 4 guys who can play on the 4th line (Kilger, Begin, Langdon, Ward) and 4 others who can play on the 3rd (Bulis, Dackell, Juneau, Sundstrom)??

If you need new blood, call up Higgins!

Gainey may have been interested in the Corson of 5 years ago, but not now. He offers nothing to this team to make them better, and what we need most is goal scoring and a rookie can put up better numbers than Corson at this stage of his career.

Gainey would have to subtract bodies before he even adds any, so this is nothing but Toronto media BS. I would trully be disappointed is Bob did such a signing and didn't bring up Higgins or Plekanec instead.

Sorry but he's way too fragile above the neck. Who the hell knows what this guy would do. Unless you want to designate a 24 hour babysitter.

Why would you spend all that money to buy out MacKay only to sign Corson...this signing simply won't happen.

One Sentence sums it all up:

Corson does not deserve the right to play in Montreal.
