Tanguay LW

I also think that Darryl is planning on starting Tanguay as a Left winger perhaps if something in the season happens to a center there will be a switch but not to start. Plus Tanguay can help by comming in when the center get's tossed out of the draw which is a plus to have.

I voted centre

I want to see a

Huselius-Tanguay-Iggy line

But I think we'll see a

Tanguay-Langkow-Iggy line

Langkow had 59 points, just 8 points behind Iginla for team lead in points, so I think if we had Tanguay - Langkow - Iginla, we should do just fine.

I don't think Langkow is a first line center, but like Sutter said, there are only a dozen or so quality first line centers in the league. I don't think Horcoff is a first line center but he still plays there for the oil. I think the langkow-Iggy-Tanguay line will produce a lot of points this season.

I was taking advantage of NHL.com's highlight machine to watch Flames goals from last season, and it was amazing how many of Huselius' goals were assisted by great passes from Langkow. Those two clearly had some chemistry. I think there's a good chance that we'll start the season with Tanguay - Langkow - Iginla, but if things need to be shaken up then I think we could have two really solid lines. Maybe Huselius - Langkow - Iginla which was a good line for the last couple months last season, and Tanguay - Lombardi/Lundmark - Kobasew. Or maybe Tanguay - Lombardi - Iginla (as there have been suggestions that Lombo has good chemistry with Iggy) and Huselius - Langkow - Kobasew. It depends a lot how Tanguay fits in and who he develops chemistry with.

Tanguay - Langkow - Iginla will probably be the first line but I'd really like to see what Lundmark can do between those 2.

I personally don't think that Lundmark is ready for those minutes as a top Center would be logging.

Why would you break up Huselius and Langkow??
It should go:

Tanguay - Lombardi/Lundmark - Iginla
Huselius - Langkow - Kobasew

and on the PP it should be:

Tanguay - Iginla - Huselius

Cause Huselius sets Iginla up crazy good and Tanguay well... He's Tanguay!
Iggy at center because Tanguay and Huselius suck at faceoffs.

Langkow is the only center on the Flames ready to play with those 2... people seem to think you need 3 all-stars on your 1st line... but you really dont... the flames have 2 potential all-stars in iginla and tanguay... having a very good center like Langkow between them would not be bad at all... Lanks put up good numbers and was the most consistent flame forward all season... expect to see langkow between tanguay and iginla... also expect to see Iginla back over the 40 goal plateau (maybe even 50)... expect Tanguay and Langkow to also net 25+... and I wouldnt be shocked to see Tanguay lead the team in points by racking up 50+ assists
