Time for you to dream a little bit!

OK so I was on MSN and one of my friend told me that Zherdev was comming in Montreal in exchange of Souray and Perezhogin. Everything is on the hockey board of RDS.ca. A few posters said that they saw the rumour on TSN...the news would be annouced sometimes tommorow.

I know that it's only a rumour and it probably won't come true, but since the deal is quite fair, we can still dream a little bit. It's late so because of me, you guys will not have any nightmares tonight!

I'd pass, thanks. As much as Zherdev is great, it doesn't really address any particular hole, unless we're just going to outscore everyone, and hang Huet out to dry.

This trade doesn't deserve more than an (e1) IMO.
Highly improbable. I would like it, thought.

Either way I don't see this trade addressing anything on the blue line, the problem being made worse with Souray's departure.

Gotta give a lot to get a lot man. Zherdev would be our number 1 scorer. Easily could be on the top line. This rumor doesn't seem the least bit credible, but imo it would be fair for both sides.

Well aside from the RDS forum I just heard from a friend of mine who also heard it on TSN. So it sounds like it wasn't a lie that TSN spread the rumour, but as to whether it actually happens is another story.

Guys, would you do this if you were Columbus?

Zherdev is going to be a real good player for a long time.

Won't happen, but I'd be happy as hell if it did.

Imo Perez has as much potential as Zherdev, the only difference is that Zherdev is currently more developed. Also, I personally think Perez has a better hockey sens.

That is your opinion and I respect that, but I honestly can't compare the two.

Zherdev imo will be a 40 to 50 goal guy. Perez I see scoring 25 goals tops.

IMO Zherdev has a ******** more potential than Perez.

Well Imo you're right about Zherdev. He will always out-produce Perez, however I think that Perez will always have a better understanding of the game in the defensive end (though he's not the sharpest yet). Perez I can easily see as a 30-35 goal scorer in as soon as 2-3 seasons.

You know, if I had not read several people say that a friend of that they themselves saw the rumor on TSN, I would say this was totally made up.

I really hope this comes true, Zherdev is a monster prospect who is only 22 and is due for a monster season and trading Souray opens a spot for us to spend some $$ on a much better D-Man.

Lets face it, other than 20-30 games in the middle of the season, Souray was a total mess last season.

I sure as hell hope you're right.

But as for this deal, yes...I think we're dreaming.

I think so, too. Remind me never to post anything in the light of day again (being any general forum).
