GDT: Oilers at Leafs

Saturday, November 8, HNIC, 5:00 pm MDT.

Didn't see a game day thread yet, so thought I'd post it. I think the Oilers are going to come out with a big win tonight,

Oh yeah, there's a hockey game tonight!

I'm hoping to see Sarno get a couple of shifts with Ryan and Ales, and I want to see the To-Yo-Da line again. And a huge Oilers victory of course

Dont know for sure but my guess would be Salo. He has been playing much better lately.

According to the Journal, Salo has a mild groin pull from when Sarno crashed into him in the third on Thursday, so Conklin is starting.

I saw the Leafs at NJ yesterday night. The game went to OT and ended in a tie. I hope NJ tired the Leafs out.

Two predictions Dvorak gets a goal or two and Tucker and Torres drop the gloves

Assuming Conklin plays
5-3 Oilers

Oilers: Dvorak(2), Smyth, Laraque, Smith
Leafs: Tucker, Kaberle, Mogilny

If Salo Plays
3-0 Oilers

The Leafs are one of the most Jeckyll'n'Hyde teams out there, IMO. Who knows what they'll look like.

More likely Tucker goes toward Torres pretends to drop his gloves and then turtles thus drawing a penalty.

The Leafs haven't been good on home ice this season and the Oilers haven't been good on the road. They have combined for 3 wins in 11 attempts

I think it will be an ugly game in a lot of ways, special teams will decide this one.

Oil 6 Tor 4

"Everybody in the lineup, stand up and be counted. Not so fast Ales." Hemsky out, Laraque is in. I'm assuming Issy goes to the line with Sarno, and Smyth.
