Roster Size?

Once the season starts what is the mimimum # of players that must be signed and with the team and what is the maximum?

Are there other sites other than tsn.ca with salary commitments for next season?

A 23 player roster is counted towards the cap

In terms of sheer planning, anything under that would be idiotic.

I believe that at any given time, an organization can not have more than 50 players signed.

Now, it doesn't exactly answer your question. I do have the same question though.

What is the minimum of players on the roster (during the course of a game)? And what is the max?

They obviously have to be signed - So I would think the minimum of signed players would be the minimum of players on the roster (on the ice), and the maximum being 50.

Actually you can carry 20 players and save the cap space. I think TB did that last year.

Ya 20 is the min. Some teams carried under the 23 max for at least part of the season to save cap space.

Yup, it can be tricky if there is an injury.
