Any news on Vaclav Nedorost?

Assuming he is now an UFA (didn`t receive a contract offer from Florida), is there a chance he could come back here? How much is he making in the Czech league?

I spoke to him in February and he had knee operation and some difficulties appeared. He didnt skate in the rest of the year.

He is just too injury prone. Had he been not injured so much, he may have been in the NHL.

Alfredsson, Koivu and Samsonov also had trouble with injuries.... but are still in the NHL. Last year with Liberec Bili Tygri HC, he played near all the season and ended with stats comparable to Radim Vrbata..... Couldn't Chicago make a pitch at him???

Those three had troubles but all were more talented and have managed to stay healthy for longer periods of time.

All 3 were Calder nominees (Alf. and Samsonov won the Calder too) while Nedorost wasnt that great in his rookie season.

I know I was making a wild pitch here.

Nedorost, when selected by the Avalanche after they traded Ozolinsh, was tought has a future excellent third line center, and I dont think his stock his now lower than that. Couldn't he sign a one year contract like Arkhipov or a two-ways contract only for one season?

Thing is, Arkhipov made Russia's WC roster and Nedorost was far from it so maybe thats what made CHI sign him.

I dont think Nedorost would sign a two-way contract though.

Looking at the Ceské-Budejovice roster, Vaclav has been added to it.

He was rumored to be invited to Panthers camp along with Shvidki. Shvidki came true, but nothing on Nedorost yet.

I think he would have to clear waivers now to come over since he started playing in Europe.

So, Vaclav plays for Ceske Budejovice now, in 5 games collected 4 points (2G + 2A).
