Komisarek

Anyone else think Komisarek might breakout this season? I usually have pretty good eye for talent & watching him play in the AHL during the lockout year I was very impressed w him offensively. I think he might start to open it up little this year. At the very least I can see him breaking the 15-20 pt mark . I'd like to see hit 30. Even though Habs dont need offense from him I still think he's young Stevens in the making. I'd really like to see him paired w Markov. Any thoughts or info?

He just needs to be put in the situation where he can build his offensive confidence up, but overall I dont think Komi will ever be offensive that much. Its more important for him to keep improving in his zone and become the all-around shutdown guy that you send in all critical situations.(Aaron Ward, Jay Mckee etc) Fischer, Carle offensive D was clearly targeted in this draft, Komisarek and Emelin evaluation I think is the main reason for that.

I would be suprised if he became more then a Rivet type on offence. His defence will be strong and he will be a hard hitter for sure.

It will be is breakout year..

It will be is first year where he is sure to make the team and doesnt have outside distraction during the summer.

He was very good in the playoff and will bevery focused on his training this summer.

Stevens was more of a 50-60 guy...Komi will never get to that level imo. However, I can easily see him in the 20ish next season.
