Since the Habs are playing badly, let's take the Habit of naming the 3 "Spoofs" instead of the 3 stars, the 3 worst Habs of the night.
Yesterday night in Buffalo, 3 easy picks:
1) By far, Richard Zednik, uninspired play made him miss several chances engineered by a suprisingly energetic Koivu, not to mention another blown 2-on-1 in the 1st Period, when he did not spot Koivu alone on his left and just lost the puck without even a shot; to top everything, after blowing yet another offensive chance in the 2nd, he takes a lazy, stupid, no discipline hooking penalty in the central zone, leading to the Sabres 1st Goal...
2) Rivet, where were you Craig when you allowed Briere to walk in alone on Theo on the Sabres' 1st goal and then again on the 2nd goal, on the ice, but nowhere to be seen?
3)Theo...he just did not stand on his head, which he has to do for this team to have a hope in any game, there was barely an angle on the 1st goal, how did Briere manage to slip the puck UNDER him is a mystery, where was Theo's stick, somewhere in the air invoking the Hockey Gods to help his teammates score some goals? The 2nd goal also seemed very stopable, didn't it?
Does everyone agree with my picks?
A comment:#1 and 2 above would have made the 3 "Spoofs" in many of the recent losses, about time they start showing up and earning their salary, no? Maybe a night off like Perreault would do some good?
To finish, a question:
Was Quintal hurt or just also given the night off in favour of Hainsey?
