Our Division is getting better...

Kubina, Gill with Toronto
Chara, Savard with Boston (Ottawa lost Chara but that was expected...they still have plenty of talent)

Our divisional rivals are getting better, will Bob press the panic button and give heaven to Elias or Arnott ?

Hold on! The Bruins are just not very good, even with Chara. And the Maple Laffs are ancient and really bad. Ottawa really does not scare me until they get themselves a real goalie. The best team in this division is Buffalo but if BG can add a few pieces, we're going to be in the race for the division all year.

we only need to get a top 6 fowards , anyway Boston have 32 millions for like 12 players so IMO they are not better , they got Chara but they have Thomas in net ... he is clearly not a 1st goalie .

Kubina and Hill with the leafs dont make them so better

Ottawa is getting worse without Chara

Buffalo didnt make moves so ...

Im still hoping to see Elias in Montreal

Boston isn't only getting players, but better management and looser purse strings. Something that's plagued them for years. They could become dangerous.

On the other hand, Toronto is overpaying their defencemen and adding no scoring touch. Who do they have? Sundin and Tucker. If raycroft doesn't return to form, I'd say they'll still be looking on the outside of the playoffs. And I mean, Hal Gill is no Renden.

Easy tiger. Thinking this way about masculine duos is not healthy.

How does Savard make Boston much better? He's not going to be feeding Hossa or Kovalchuk in Boston.

I don't know most of these moves are not great IMO. Savard had some great linemakes in Atlanta, does he have that in Boston? Chara while a good dman has been a little overated IMO and these two salaries are going to be a drain on Boston for years to come.

The Kubina signing is not bad but Gill is nothing special and does not have the foot speed for the new NHL.

I am not worried yet, this is only day one and there are plenty of people to sign or trade for still.

How so? Koivu is ten times the leader and has hundreds of time more heart then Savard. Savard had better offensive linemates the Koivu. Koivu is also a much more complete player and is solid defensivly, while Savard would not be able to find his own end with a map.

By getting rid of Belak and Berg and replaces them with Gill and Kubina, it makes them better.....Not the greatest of improvement but makes them better and that's the point.

But Kubina, I didn't expect that for TO.....

The East seems to be pretty active, Cullen for the Rangers is a great signing. Mara and Chara in Boston and now with Savard instead of Zhamnov as a 2nd center, makes them better as well.

But we have Bouillon and Streit as d-men, we're good.....
