Hemsky and Isbister sit tonight...

...Just heard it on the pre-game show on CHED. Laraque and Chimera in. Isbister is nursing a case of whiplash after that smash by Chara, and Hemsky is out as a healthy scratch for poor play.

Hemsky has been horrific the last couple games, this is a wake up call.
nice move by MacT to send a message that if you work hard you'll get rewarded, if you dont then you sit.

What a joke! He should have sat Smyth along with him. The Oilers are the only team you can go from the press box or the farm straight to the number one line - it's been likethat for years .... and I guess that's why I can never seem to get excited about them. Oh well!!

He was doing OK until MacT rewarded Horcoff for his brutal play by putting him on the first line. It's not like Smyth has played well either! Playing shorthanded every shift is going to make anyone look bad and now Hemsky pays the price.Horcoff must have been hurt last game because there is no way MacT could notice him playing poorly. What's next?Put Horcoff in Pisani's place to ruin that line next?

What a complete and total joke. I don't know when the Oilers became the Nashville Predators, but I guess we have. Our 2nd line AHL center is on our first line, our enforcer with a sore hand is also there, and Our worst forward, who has played badly all year, is in the lineup, while our most talented hockey player is out. What incredible coaching..........................Clap............ ...............................Clap............... .............Clap.

Come on! This is the freaking sort of exaggeration and bashing that is ruining this board. That line was doing ok until Horcoff showed up? Come on. You cannot believe that. Smyth has been struggling for about 5 games now along with Hemsky even before Horcoff's appearance. But then... why let common sense get in the way of opinions?

You people need to chill.

This isnt the first time a good player has been a healthy scracth. It usually works to wake them up. Hemsky will go back in next game and you will probably see more passion and desire.

Which is the only thing that has been missing from Hemsky, once he gets going, and Salo gets out of the nets for a few games, I have a feeling this team will go on a bit of a winning streak.

it is never a bad idea to let a kid watch a game now and then. Lets not forget that we will need an energized hemsky later in the year.
