Pure Speculation

I'm not going to provide a source, so you can call this pure "speculation"

(However, some of the Mods know what my connection is...)

That being said...

This morning I heard that Gainey is consideirng a two year, two million offer ($1 million a season) to Eric Lindros.

Eric has recieved a 1-year offer from Toronto and has been contacted by two other teams (though one was Nashville who are likely out of the bidding with Arnott going there.)

Discuss.

Didn't he demand to be traded from Quebec when he was drafted? Was it team reasons or location reasons? Anyway, that was the past, before he spent a year as a leaf where he learned about a word called desparation.

I wouldn't mind that.

Lindros is a knob and all, but for one million? He had a pretty decent season last year before getting hurt...

I would mind, 2 games into the season he'll get a career ending injury courtesy of Zdeno Chara.

I can't believe it's being considered mostly because he could come ''cheap''. Guys it's not like we're at 42.5 million and still need and center but have no money.

Is it a way to get more boo-birds in the Bell Centre???

It just can't happen...People don't want some distraction like Bertuzzi or Roenick but would want Lindros????

The guy is so injury prone, is probably at one bad bodycheck to be out for good, and we're considering him....

Or he will cripple Chara. Chara is due for a knee injury.

Lindros? I would rather see Locke playing for us than him, at least Locke would be cheaper and probably would get more points too.

I hate Ribs but I'm just becoming a new fan all of a sudden.

I guess somebody found a way for us to shut our mouth and stop asking for a signing. He just proved that it's not because we're going to sign somebody that it will be good.....

OK I understand, DON'T SIGN NOBODY, GOOD JOB BOB!!!!WE'RE GOOD WITH THE TEAM WE HAVE!!!!!!!!

After what that b*tch done to Qc, if he EVER signs here, I'm burning all my Habs stuff and I'm not even kidding. I hate Bertuzzi and Thornton too, but I could accept them on the team because, at least, those guys aren't *****es who whines about everything and who asked to be traded because they didn't wanted to play in a french communit. Montreal is a french community too, so stay away you son of a b*tch...

P.S.: I know my reaction is extreme but I can't stand Lindros and I don't think the french community in Montreal would either. He's being booed everytime he touches the puck here and I bet that if he wasn't to score 100 points, he would be booed out of town. ***** Lindros...

I would relocate to Montreal just so I could run him out of town personally

I don't think so. Daddy and Mommy don't want to see their little son growing in Quebec.

You know, after the Nordiques debacle, this guy would get hated here from the get-go and be booed worse than Brisebois was. Habs fans have kind of taken the Nords' fans grudge on that one, even if Lindros did say he would have played in Montreal even if he didn't want to play in Quebec City.

Remember the reaction he got when he came as a Flyer or a Laff...
