Probably a draft pick. 2nd round next year. We just picked him up in March. You could have Pascal Dupuis for a bucket of pucks.

Why not just pick up a swift-skating, low-scoring free agent?

As an Islanders fan, I can tell you that it probably wouldn't take more than a chicken sandwich and a coke to get him. He is soft, plays on the perimeter, and never seems to live up to potential.

Well, I would just as soon keep him at least through training camp and see if he gels w/ anyone. If not, I would just as soon keep Dupuis. It would prob. take a 4th for me in what is supposedly a fairly deep draft, and only that much because you're in the division. Why? Do you want to play him w/ the Sedins?

I didn't see anything in his game that would at least intrigue me. I think he is a waste of a roster spot.

I dont think so

we saw flashes of what he can do at the end of the year, and I thought he had really good chemistry with Gaborik. Weiny is a sniper plain and simple, and I think he can put up a ***** ton of points playing with Gaborik and Demitra...

Career potential: Top six winger.

Both of these might be ballpark, but if you wait til about 20 games into next year, you might be able to get him for free off waivers. I wasn't all that impressed with him the times I saw him. Still plenty of time for him though if he keeps working hard on the lower lines.
