Salo

DISCLAIMER: this is not a salo bashing thread.

so salo has been sent home for MRI's due to a bag skate which has bothered his groin and hip area. sarno apparently (inadvertently) aggravated this when he ran into him in the game against the sens.

If this is serious and Salo is out long term should the Oilers go it from here with conks and valiquette perhaps sign deslarius, make a trade?

A trade, IMO, is the last thing the Oilers need to do... unless of course Conks can't handle the starting job either.

Let Conks run with it for a bit, who knows, he might pull a McLennan and put up some nutty numbers for a while.

A trade is a very last resort.

I say go with Conks and Valiquette. I doubt Deslauries is ready yet, and I would rather we trade Comrie for a forward and D-man as opposed to trading for a goalie.

I think Conklin will do fine as a starter. I don't think we will have to worry about trading for a goalie.

I am not bashing Tommy but I believe he has already seen his best days. Go with Conks and Valiquette and trade Tommy now before his value deteriorates. JMO
