Nah, we'd have to throw our 2nd rounder to that.

Aebischer will report to Montreal for training camp. He'll be traded 30 Games into the season.

Only thing certain is he wont be traded until Huet is re-signed.

St Louis is rebuilding, not downgrading. They're not gonna trade a 1st round pick for a 29 year old inconsistant goalie, when they have a bunch of young promising goalies in the system. The top 20 picks in the draft this year are looking extremely promising and none of them would be worth trading for Abby. I do think we could unload him on several teams, maybe in a multi-player trade, but I don't see many teams giving up much for him, Dallas maybe? haha

If you talk to the people on the Blues board they seem happy with their goaltending. I don't know if that would be his new home but more then likely he will have a new home.

That's what will happen. Some teams will panic and need a goaltender in the season and that's where we will get the most out of him in a trade.

seriously, aebisher can go anywhere

he is not a goalie, he is a salary cap hit

if he gets involved in a trade it probably will be to dump his salary like Colorado did.

must be hard on the ego

Ego or not Aebischer is fully aware he's competing for a job and if he's not getting it done he will be traded . Carey Price interview with Guy Flaming was truly great in that aspect , the kid is mature and know how it works.

I don`t know why but I get this vibe that the Habs would be better off with Aebischer than Huet. On the long run I`m afraid as a top goalie, Huet will crumble.

People still waiting for Huet to falter, it makes me laugh.

nop!

it'll be 32!

but seriously, yes he will be at training camp, and he will play for us, and he will be traded during the season after it is sure that huet is a Legit #1.

plus at that point abby would have played some games and competed for the #1 spot, all while looking good, and we will maximize our return on him in a trade with a team that desperatly needs a goalie

gainey is no fool
